Betclic App Review

T&C's Apply

Betclic is a French bookmaker that was originally founded in London by entrepreneur and investor Nicolas Béraud. Licenced by the GB Gambling Commission, as well as one for the whole of the EU, BetClic is registered in Malta, but also has headquarters in London, while it runs the British operations from Gibraltar.

Now, it’s a subsidiary of Mangas Gaming, which has been a rising player in European gambling, acquiring other firms including Swedish gambling site Expekt.com in 2009. It purchased a 75% share of Betclic in 2008 for €50m. The company is co-controlled by Societe des Bains de Mer (SBM), a major Monaco land casino and hotel owner that runs the world-famous Monte Carlo Casino, forever associated with James Bond. You’re not getting much better than that in terms of glamour and continental prestige.

How to Download the Betclic App

iOS and Android

The Betclic app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices. The former is accessed via the app store, with the Betclic app being free to download onto your device and can immediately begin playing once it has been completed.

As for Android, players can access Betclic via the online web browser site and access a link to download the app directly from there onto your device. If your device does not support the Betclic app, the mobile site contains all of the same features that you are able to find on the app. If the app is not working, Betclic provides a number of different channels to contact them on to try and resolve the issue.

Betclic Bonuses and Customer Offers

One thing worth considering, especially in comparison to many of its competitors, is that Betclic does not tend to offer sign-up bonuses and matched deposits for new customers. There are some bonuses available, though, but they’re not particularly outstanding in comparison to other bookmakers.

As with some others, Betclic offer a proportional scale for bonuses on more ambitious bets, up to 100% on 16-fold accumulators, up from 5% on a five-folds (up to a maximum boost of €10,000). This applies to sport betting on football, basketball and ice hockey, something worth considering if you’re a regular gambler in those sports.

While it doesn’t offer a new customer bonus, if you play your first bet (up to €10) via their mobile app, the bet is refunded in the form of free bets if it doesn’t win. The other bonus available to BetClic customers will interest fans of mobile betting apps. Their app is available via iOS and Android, but you’re also available for the promotion if you put on that first bet via their mobile site.

BetClic also offer seasonal bonuses and specials on certain events, usually on tennis or football, which is something worth keeping an eye out on. They’re usually free bets, refunds or odds  boosts.

They have no policy on maximum bets, while at the other end of the scale you can set yourself deposit limits or totally block yourself from the platform if you’re concerned about how much you’re spending.

Betclic Features and Accessibility

The app itself is a typically modern, user-friendly and well-designed piece of software that’s available for free from the iTunes store for Apple and Google Play for Android, while accessing the same interface is also an option via the mobile website. It has all the usual features that sports punters have come to expect from a contemporary betting app, from live betting to cash out to an extensive range of markets and options. Apple users need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 5.0 or higher, while Android users need at least 4.0 on their Blackberry, Nokia, Windows Phone etc.

BetClic Sports

All the major sports are well covered, but if you’re a specialist or have a niche interest, then BetClic caters for you well. Not only can you bet on Football, Rugby, Tennis, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Boxing and Cricket but they also take bets on Aussie Rules, Cycling, Badminton, Formula 1, Baseball, E-sports, American Football, Floorball, Beach Volley, Golf, Handball, MMA and Rink Hockey.

The full website offers live streaming of events from the world of sport, but at present this is unavailable on the app. The main app offers more than just sport, though, with an extensive casino tab that features over a hundred games to play, including all the classics, from roulette to blackjack.

Betclic Casino

If casino gaming is entirely your preference, then there’s also the exclusive BetClic Casino app – available on iOS and the mobile browser on Android – which offers new players a £250 welcome bonus package (per terms and conditions). It might not be quite the Monte Carlo Casino, but it allows you to play poker, blackjack and roulette, plus slot machines, all from the comfort of your own home, while the video poker option gives an extra realistic touch.

To help you get to grips with the different games on offer, the app offers a demo mode, so you can wrap your head around the rules before gambling with real money. There are progressive jackpots, an ever-increasingly library of games that already features favourites such as Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest, Mega Fortune, Steam Tower and more. All the apps offer the ability to deposit securely with your credit or debit card as well as providers including Skrill and Paysafe, while they promise a fast payout.

Betclic Colossal

By and large, they offer you the same as the competition. But there are two areas in which BetClic stand out from the rest of the competition. The first is the Colossus is an original, creative football pool in which the top prize rises to an astonishing €10 million jackpot. You have to stake a minimum of €5 on the football pools, but new players will be rewarded with a matched bonus.

Betclic eSports Betting

The other area in which it stands out is what it offers in one of the largest-growing markets of the betting industry, eSports. Watching 20-year-old lads play FIFA is no longer just what you do to while away the hours as a student, but it’s now a multi-million-pound industry with contracted stars and big names. Still relatively new, BetClic doesn’t offer you the ability to bet on a large number of eSports, but it offers competitive odds on League Of Legends, one of the biggest games around.

Conclusion

BetClic, with a simple to use interface and user-friendly app, is worth giving a go if you’re looking for a new bookmaker. It’s rarely outstanding, but if you build long football accumulators of five or more folds, or are interested in niche markets such as League of Legends, then it’s doubly worthwhile. With your payment preference almost certainly catered for, and a particularly secure and SSL-encrypted website, this is a company that you can trust with your deposits and personal data. The odds offered are reasonable and should satisfy recreational gamblers, but professionals and specialists might consider looking elsewhere.
