PokerStars is an online website and app where users from many areas can play their favourite casino games and take home huge winnings within minutes. This review will take a very close look at the site, which is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, and we shall come to an eventual conclusion as to whether or not we believe our readers should give this site a go or wait for a better alternative to come around.

How to Download and Use the PokerStars App

iOS and Android

PokerStars have an app which can be downloaded on either the App Store or Google Play Store for mobile devices. To find the app, users can either visit the site through a browser and tap the link on screen or search for the app through their store on their mobile device. Download should not take long, especially if the users’ internet speed is fast, and once completed users are well on their way to having plenty of fun on one of the most popular betting apps out there.

Of course, users are asked to sign up or log in before playing on the app. Creating an account is very easy and we did it in a matter of minutes, if even. Simply enter your name, address, email and make a password to get started, and after that you can do as you please on the PokerStars mobile app.

PokerStars App Features

There are five different sections to PokerStars, beginning with Home. Here is where users can choose between playing with real money or play money, and select games such as Spin & Go or Sit & Go amongst others. Below that segment are three icons: deposit, casino, sports. Tapping deposit takes users to the cashier where they have the opportunity to put real money into their account to begin playing on PokerStars, while tapping Casino transports users to the casino area. It’s here where games like Legacy of Dead, Live Dream Catcher, Live Lightning Roulette, Deal or No Deal, RIse of Merlin and Super Joker can be found alongside others like Stars Genie and Mission Cash. Within Sports, users will be able to view all the hottest sports action happening right now and later that day. Highlights, Promotions and Results sit at the top of the screen, with sports such as football, horse racing, tennis, rugby, golf, snooker, baseball, American Football and Basketball all ready to be bet on.

After Home comes Lobby, where users can filter between different rules and select which games they’d like to play, with the My Stars section right beside that. The My Stars program is where users can join and get on the path to earning greater rewards the more that they play on the site. It is free to join and users get to earn points, which allows them to open chests to win StarCoins and so much more. To the right of this part of the app is Cashier, and finally we have More.

PokerStars Customer Support

Users can get in touch by emailing support at support@pokerstars.com where they may receive a response quickly or slowly, depending on how busy the help team are. A Live Chat service can also be used to contact the support team quickly if users need to do so, however due to the number of bad reports regarding customer service we cannot recommend taking up either route as they both look quite frustrating to use.

PokerStars App Summary

At first glance PokerStars looks a terrific app with a whole host of exciting games ready to be played all the time, anywhere. There are fake money games for when users want a more relaxed approach as well as real money games, for when users feel a little more competitive. However, upon further examination we have found that there are what seems like endless reports of terrible customer service, accounts being shut down without reasoning and completely ignoring player requests. For this reason, we are going to say already that we do not recommend this site to anyone as we cannot guarantee the safety of our reader’s money, but what we can also say is that if PokerStars cleaned up their act they would be a perfect match for anybody. A casino and sports section right beside each other makes it fun for users who want to bet on sports and play casino games as they wait for their bet to come in, while the vast range of payment options blows competitors out of the park. None of this means that we can pretend PokerStars have behaved poorly in terms of customer support though, so we are forced to recommend that everyone gives this one a miss.
